Robert Precht is an esteemed American legal educator, author, and veteran criminal defense attorney with over three decades of trans-Pacific institutional expertise. Formerly an assistant dean at the University of Michigan Law School and a landmark Federal Public Defender in New York, his subsequent career transitioned into global judicial reform and public interest advocacy. As the former China Director for the Public Interest Law Institute (PILI) in Beijing and president of the legal think-tank Justice Labs, Precht has extensive experience advising academic institutions, non-profits, and cross-border corporations on the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (BHR).
